Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens - Review
This is a small but enchanting garden located right near Daylesford Railway station. It was established in 1863 and was built on an extinct volcano. It’s a beautiful place for a stroll with family and friends. The Memorial Tower offers a brilliant landscape view of Daylesford. The garden itself is home to lot of tress which are more than 100 years old. Every season the garden greets the visitors by changing colours like a chameleon. There’s also a café here for refreshments.

Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens, Daylesford Reviews
What a lovely place to visit! We stopped here for a picnic lunch as it was dog friendly - and ended up spending a couple of hours as it was so nice. You can climb a tower for lovely views and a fun spiral staircase. A lovely loop walks around the gardens past beautiful trees, plants and sculptures and I feel like we didn’t even discover all the hidden features. Really beautiful spot.
Nice place to relax... Try and spot the occasional wombats running through the park... There's a nice Cafe and green house filled with stunning flowers... The scenic drive is a waste as all you really see is private homes... a walk around the park is much better.
Scenic drive between the trees is really nice with multiple viewpoints along the way to stop and have a look of the surroiunding daylesford lands (watch out for all the potholes though) Can get out and walk along the whole scenic drive as well. Look out for a few dirt tracks running off the road for other walking paths surrounded by a bit more nature. Tower on top of the hill has nice views of the gardens but not really much further as covered by trees. The cafe in the middle of the gardens is really nice offering a wide variety of foods
Lovely place to breakaway for a hills view of Daylesford and Surrounds. Climb the tower and breathe in the fresh air.
Great staff, food and cosy inside. Bit hard to find the place, they should have signs. Came in at 2:30pm and more than half the menu was unavailable unfortunately. The chai latte was bad.
