The oldest house on the beachside of Daytona Beach, the Lilian Place is an Italianate Victorian house which was built in the year 1884. It was built by Laurence Thompson, one of the city's first settlers. The place was left abandoned and in a state of decay until December of 2009, when the Heritage Preservation Trust acquired this significant site. Today, the house is open to the public as a fully furnished museum.
