It was called the Grandest house to the west of Mississippi. This Queen Anne Style Victorian mansion was built in the year 1892. This house is a symbol of prosperity for Deadwood. What was just a mining town at first had now become a more homely place to reside in. The furniture and aretefacts owned by the original owners have been restored. The house, though very old, is well- maintained. You get a tour through the house and get to see the then state of the art interiors and technology. Moreover, the adventurer in you would also like to know that there are legends of this house being haunted!

Highlights include:

  • A guided tour
  • Amenities of the past

Adams House Reviews & Ratings

  • Although I have not visited during the day this house is beautiful and full of history. We did a Paranormal Investigation tour in the dark. Everyone was so passionate about the property and history of the property and former occupants. Will definitely come back to take a day tour.

  • This was one of my favorite things while visiting Deadwood. There is a lot of history in the house and you can get a feel for what life was like when the house was in use. Lexi, our tour guide, although she said she hadn't been there long, was very knowledgeable and a pleasure. The Adam's Museum is well worth the visit as well.

  • Beautiful historic home. Maintained and restored to the finest detail. Be sure to make time to visit.

  • Tour Lady was knowledgeable. It was fun to hear the family's stories. House has been restored, and a delight to see.

  • Enjoyed touring (our 4th time in 10 years) this beautiful historic house. I never get tired of the stories and the authentic furnishings. A great way to hear about the way of life in Deadwood's early days.
