Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel, Deadwood Reviews - Write a Review
We ate the Grand Grille, which I will NEVER go to again. They left on the plastic wrap from the cheese on my husband's burger. Definitely not a place I would recommend and didn't seem to care particularly about the issue either. Next, was the event area for the comedy show. It is a large space (like gym sized) which they cram a bunch of chairs in rows. My complains are if you aren't up front, it's hard to see over people's heads, and if you need to get up during it, the spacing between rows is quite tight. Overall, was not impressed.
Besides having to come in through the casino and wind your way up two elevators to your room, the place was well appointed. Rooms were very spacious and relatively new. It was located within walking distance of many sites and downtown. Although there were restaurants on site, we chose to eat elsewhere. We did not participate in gaming. Parking garage for free was a bonus.
Booked our trip to see Hairball & Cheech and Chong Friday & Saturday night. The valet staff was super friendly and remembered our names, the resort was clean with a pleasant aroma throughout and the most amazing experience we had was the freaky fast room service. The food was delicious and we slept like babies in those cozy warm beds. Do yourself a favor and book a room here now, besides you deserve it.
We loved our room and the staff was great all through our stay! Until a very cranky lady at the check out desk. I wish.... that if she was unable to help me she could have at least acted like she appreciated us staying here. Could have had a cheaper room down the street on a Thursday night.
Went here to see Gary Allan. The screen was very blurry and for someone short, like me, it's really not a place where someone beyond the 4th row is going to be able to see the stage. It's all one level so the only way to see is by looking at the screen. It was very disappointing, but I had read some reviews beforehand so I kind of knew it wouldn't be the best time I've ever had at a concert. The staff running things knew what they were doing, though, when it came time to funnel people upstairs. We walked in about 45 minutes before the concert started and were astounded by how long the line to get into the venue was. It literally went through THE ENTIRE casino! But, there's an escalator going upstairs and they check your ticket before getting on. So, once your past the ticket takers, it moves VERY quickly!
