Nice park loads to do football pitches tennis courts fishing pond ducks to feed dog area lit paths no longer free parking but not expensive
Based in the middle of Hillsborough, right next to the football ground, this park manages to still be a little tranquil space. The lake is lovely with lots of ducks and geese to be fed and there are more than a few nice trees to read under on a sunny day. The big recreation ground also pulls in a lot of events over the summer so there is normally something new to do at the weekend!
A great place for a stroll round or while away a few moments by the lake. A good place for a 4000 step walk, even when it's raining as the paths stay nice and clean. Walked garden is a must-see attraction.
It is simple yet effective. It is amazing for walking dogs or just normally and Has a play area where kids can relax and just play. There's a clear area near the entrance where events sometimes take place. Most of the time there is a fair but recently the friends fest was hosted there which I attended was great. They also have a pond where you can fish and feed the ducks. my reason for giving them only 4 stars is the fact that there isn't a toilet or cafe on site but when events are on there is usually porta-pottys. Across the road there are cafes which are nice.
It looked a really nice area. It was to wet to get out and we were only just passing by.
