Robber's Cave - Review
Robber’s Cave is a cave formation located a few kilometres away from the centre of Dehradun. It is locally known as Guchhupani. The interiors of the cave are so beautifully designed that it is hard to believe that is a naturally formed structure. It derives its name from the story that says that the robbers used this place as their hideout to escape from the British. The cave is a long, narrow structure and is divided into two portions. The cave boasts of the highest waterfall of the country. The central part of the cave is like a fort wall structure that is almost completely broken now, most probably due to the forces of water. It is an ideal picnic spot for all the tourists. The best feature is the surprising flow of the river. The river actually flows underground and cannot be seen, but once you go along a little more you will again spot the river flowing. The cave is guarded by hills all over as you walk a little more.

Robber's Cave, Dehradun Reviews
I've spent my entire summer vacations at this place. If you'd have visited this place 10 years ago, if give it great reviews. But it's nothing like that anymore. All I can say is it's a nice picnic spot with little water left because of overcrowding. You can enjoy a nice picnic here. Overall, just a family place and not at all for couples.
Cave is full of fun, 25/- entry fees which is worth giving. Not too far from main city. Entry path goes through a village and after crossing the village, here comes the entry point of the cave mouth. Try to go in big groups for maximim fun. Cave path get dark even before sunsets so better to go at afternoon time. Water level is not constant and as you go more inside the cave you get more deeper in water.
very good spot for spending an evening or may be joyful morning. Tourists can experience walk in water while feeling many stones under feet, there is a small water fall and many eating joints inside or outside the place. Can take your own cooked food too and eat or drink there. Good for all age groups. Nominal charge of Rs 25 per head for unlimited time. Good parking facility available.
Awesome places for adventure. Need to be careful while moving in water... Need to identify deep areas and shallow waters.. Take care of electronic gadgets. Put them in waterproof pouches...
Robbers cave is a natural place where water flows in narrow cave like gorge. It is too narrow to so it is dark and adventurous. This place recently became so busy and popular that the peace and purity of this place has gone. Before back it was a lonely place and no buildings constructed near. Now it is crowded sometime and so no privacy at all. In cave a waterfall is naturally formed which is must watching place. In rain season water level raises here so plan it when it is good.
