About India Gate And Rajpath, Delhi
India Gate is a triumphal arch in the centre of Delhi which has become a very important representative of the city thanks to its location as well as political value. The Arch was built to commemorate the contribution of the Indian soldiers who had died in World War I as well as Afgan Wars. Later on the Amar Jawan Jyoti was also added to the premises in honor of those who had laid down their lives in the Indo- Pakistan wars. Since then, it has become a site that celebrates bravery in every shape and form.
The Rajpath is a long and clear stretch of road that leads up to the India Gate. The Annual Republic day parade passes through this prestigious terrain. India Gate And Rajpath, Delhi Reviews - Write a Review
Remembers us the warriors of our nation during First World War. Fine place for a short picnic. Early morning walk would be very beautiful and you may find it peaceful. Evenings are usually crowded but still you'll be able to have a good view at the Gate. Evening lighting of the structure would be beautiful scene to watch. Photographs can make the experience better. Children will have a lot to enjoy and eat stuff around there.
stunning historical site. Though it is a war memorial, but it is indeed special in its architecture. The names inscribed on it with “INDIA” at the center top gave you filling of pride and respect for those people who die for their nation. Nice place to hang out with friends. Great to see it in sunlight. The overall environment is too good to create a long term memory. One can also enjoy the Delhi street foods near India gate. A must visit place when you are in Delhi
Awesome experience, a great place to hangout with friends or family. The gate area is very clean. You can fell goosebumps when you see the commandos during their duty at India gate premises, as their posture doesn't change even for a single second during the whole time they stand over there. Lighting over here during nights is also awesome, the whole premises lit up with yellow lights and the monument itself looks amazing in that light.
India gate is a war memorial to the soldiers of Indian Army who died during the First World War. A very nice and well maintained place. Good for a small picnic or outing with family and kids. The gardens around this place makes it perfect for a morning jog or a run. Or one can even practice yoga in such lush green parks. In the evening this place looks like a festival celebration venue. So eat, play and rejoice at India Gate.
Pros: Nice monument. Great family time Clean park. Children park. Water pool as well. Nice place for photography. Lots of vendors for snacks some food restaurant Delivery there as well. Cons: Very crowded (weekend). Carry mask due to dust.
