Lodi Gardens - Review

The Lodi Gardens is a famous recreational park in Delhi, India. It is spread in an area of 90 sections of land measuring to 360,000 square metres. The heritage Garden premises houses the tombs of Mohammed Shah, Sikander Lodi, along with the Sheesh Gumbad and Bara Gumbad. The architectural premises are adorned with the design works of the fifteenth century Sayyid and Lodis, who belonged to the Pashtun line which controlled much of Northern India throughout the era of the sixteenth century. As there had been minimal structural planning from these two periods in India, Lodi Gardens was regarded a critical place for safeguarding. The site is presently secured and preserved by the Archeological Survey of India. The garden premises had been arranged between the extents of the Khan Market and the Safdarjung's Tomb situated on the Lodi Road. The garden is viewed as a wonderful and characteristic recreational reflection of the Mughals. It is also used as a much favoured venue for the morning strolls of the Delhiites.

  • One of the best gardens of the city, Lodhi garden is known for its vast green estate. It's one of the best places for athletics for jogging and work outs. Couples enjoy the bliss of their companion without any external disturbance. This social sanctuary has some special attractions for lovers in the bushes and dense greenery clad in the estate. It's really worth a visit both for family and couples.

  • Awarded best garden of Delhi and rightly so. It's very much well maintained. Plenty of space to relax, proper arrangements for doing exercises and of course it has historical significance also. Along with that it's an ideal place for lovers. Everything seems to be allowed here. (That doesn't mean that you can have sex in the middle of garden). It won't be embarrassing also because you always get company of many others.

  • Lodhi gardens are one of the finest examples of how a good park/garden in the city should be & its also one of the top places you must visit if you're in the city. Been here a number of times throughout the years & still feels like the urge to visit repeatedly. The garden is full of lush green trees & many different kind of flowers. You'll also find many historic monuments scattered all around the garden. From lovebirds to families to tourists, you'll see everyone enjoying & being at peace. There's also many small water bodies in the park & you can also find many different species of birds if you're an avid bird watcher. If you'll visit in the early morning you'll find many wedding photographers with happy couples & joggers. As I said a must visit & you'll just fall in love with nature once again.
