The Lodi Gardens is a famous recreational park in Delhi, India. It is spread in an area of 90 sections of land measuring to 360,000 square metres. The heritage Garden premises houses the tombs of Mohammed Shah, Sikander Lodi, along with the Sheesh Gumbad and Bara Gumbad. The architectural premises are adorned with the design works of the fifteenth century Sayyid and Lodis, who belonged to the Pashtun line which controlled much of Northern India throughout the era of the sixteenth century. As there had been minimal structural planning from these two periods in India, Lodi Gardens was regarded a critical place for safeguarding. The site is presently secured and preserved by the Archeological Survey of India. The garden premises had been arranged between the extents of the Khan Market and the Safdarjung's Tomb situated on the Lodi Road. The garden is viewed as a wonderful and characteristic recreational reflection of the Mughals. It is also used as a much favoured venue for the morning strolls of the Delhiites.

  • Lots of greenery among historical monuments. Big, nice area to walk around. Beautiful trees and flora, lots of interesting birds. Very accessible area, with good parking on all sides, although it can get crowded in the weekends. Good place to relax and just soak in tranquility!

  • Good sightseeing of the Lodhi architecture. A nice ambience while dealing with nature here. A good place for Pokemon Go players. But the most annoying part is the cleanliness. It is better to have a sense of cleanliness in oneself than depending on the government or management of a place. A good habit must be inculcated into people.

  • An oasis in the middle of the madding crowd. It is pleasing to see the level of care taken to maintain the garden as well as the flora and fauna in the middle of the city. I wish they had more of these gardens sprinkled around the concrete jungle that is Delhi. Tourists are well catered for with many toilets sprinkled around the periphery. A place well worth visiting

  • Absolutely amazing place for morning or evening walk/ jog. It has few small monuments too. A perfect place for a tourist visiting the area to get their exercise and also see some lesser known monuments. It can get really hot here during afternoons, as tree cover is limited.

  • This place in famous or may be infamous for being lovers place. The park is big and during day you may find more or lovers here. This is a great place in the heart of New Delhi where one can enjoy walks, picnic, meditation, playing or bird watching. There is a owsm restaurant (Lodhi the garden restaurant )... I loved the serenity of the garden, when we'd visited there. It's a great place to picnic with your family, for go for a day out with your dog. Yes, this garden is a pet-friendly place.
