The Lodi Gardens is a famous recreational park in Delhi, India. It is spread in an area of 90 sections of land measuring to 360,000 square metres. The heritage Garden premises houses the tombs of Mohammed Shah, Sikander Lodi, along with the Sheesh Gumbad and Bara Gumbad. The architectural premises are adorned with the design works of the fifteenth century Sayyid and Lodis, who belonged to the Pashtun line which controlled much of Northern India throughout the era of the sixteenth century. As there had been minimal structural planning from these two periods in India, Lodi Gardens was regarded a critical place for safeguarding. The site is presently secured and preserved by the Archeological Survey of India. The garden premises had been arranged between the extents of the Khan Market and the Safdarjung's Tomb situated on the Lodi Road. The garden is viewed as a wonderful and characteristic recreational reflection of the Mughals. It is also used as a much favoured venue for the morning strolls of the Delhiites.

really loved my visit here. It was peaceful, calm and beautiful after mostly having seen the chaos of Old Delhi. The old tombs and monuments are really beautiful, set as they are amidst the well-cultivated gardens. This is a lovely place just to wander: it'd also be nice to bring a picnic here and chill out for a while. Great place to visit if you're feeling a bit overwhelmed by Delhi. Also saw some interesting birds and wildlife here. This garden is just beautiful with amazing tombs. There are nice paths to walk on and clearly marked signage to help you get around the park and not miss anything. I really enjoyed this park.Limited parking, but on our day no problem. Free access, well maintained, with some amazing structures to walk through. Definitely a family friendly, relaxing, and photographic way to spend a few hours, or a meal on the grass! Real nice surprise in an otherwise hectic city!
It's always a great experience to visit this beautiful place! I've been here 4-5 times and it's as beautiful and lively as ever! Each time I enjoy my visit thoroughly. So well maintained, beautiful architectures, beautiful flora and fauna! I can spend the whole day here alone! Its always so refreshing!
Visiting this place was a great experience. This place has a lot of old structures. There is a lot of greenery and it is situated in a posh area. It is home to a wide variety of birds which make it a heaven for bird watchers. It is visited by starlings (migratory birds) in summer season. So summer is a good time to visit this place.
It is one of the good places to visit, walk and chill. Very good environment and very nice feelings around it. Many choices are available for selection. Our time were well spent and I have a great time with my accompany and my whole group. Thank you very much and appreciate for the time. Have a great day and night today and tomorrow.
Morning walker's paradise - Lodhi Garden is a great place to go for a walk, jog, run or even simply relax in. Terrific place also for a lovely time with family and friends to have a game of badminton or football. It's a great place to have a picnic too. Proximity to the many eating joints in Khan Market also provides a great excuse to catch up with friends and family on a weekend or holiday. The garden or should I say the gardens are very well maintained and offers a natural habitat for the many birds and small animals like squirrels to keep you in touch with nature. There is an artificial lake that has ducks in it. The Tomb is also a good place for photographers.
