The National Museum in Delhi is a very important History Museum in India. This museum, founded sometime in 1959 houses a varied collection. Several collections ranging from archeological and anthropological artifacts to paintings and decorative arts are on display here.
The museum is huge so a day may not be enough to see everything but don’t miss out on the highlights of each field. The ground floor has the library the auditorium and most prominently collections from the Harappa civilization as well as Buddhist art. The first floor has several different collections of paintings and manuscripts. The second floor is perhaps the most engaging with tribal art work, clothes from different eras, copper plates and weapons and armor all put on display. The museum is a great way to learn more about several aspects of India so be sure to put it on your must see list if that interests you.

NaTiOnAL Museum Delhi, India...,’ a lot of things to see and understand from the ancient civilisation to the modern era...! #Audio tour guide facility is much better, in museum.
It located in heart of New Delhi nearby the famous India Gate. Established in 1949, it is one of the largest museums in India, managed and governed by Ministry of Culture, India. One would require two-three visits to see and comprehend the entire set of exhibits if interested in Indian history and cultural legacy. Admissions are open between 10 AM till 6 PM on all days except Mondays (weekly off) and on national holidays. The lighting, display windows/shelves have been improved over the years, and now give a modern feel. There are well maintained washrooms on each floor, and a souvenir shop on the second floor. Ticket rates are minimal and there is hardly any queue- which reflects waning interest of masses in such an intellectual activity. The exhibits can summarized as- Coins, Vedic Scriptures, Architectural/Art Pieces and variety of articles ranging from pre-historic era to modern works of art. It is a must see attraction.
Very well maintained and lovely museum. Free guided tours are available at around 11 am and 3pm

The National museum is situated near the Rajpath which covers the monuments like Rajbhavan and India gate.It has proper arrangements of security personnels right from entrance till exit. The place is well equipped for physically challenged people as well as differently abled people. One of the major attraction are audio guide of the campus which provides support in most of the majorly spoken languages. The place is spacious , very well arranged and maintained too. It filled me with many news exciting question although many of my already existing doubts were cleared and I also corrected my facts which were incorrectly recorded. It has 3 floors and it gives you so much information that after a while you realise u need a full day or two days to throughly enjoy this masterpiece created by the archaeological department of Indian government. The capmus also homes a cafeteria to get urself some desrved snacks and refreshments. Some sexlctions were closed for maintenance purpose which gives u a reason to visit again because no part is worth missing.Overall I had and amazing experience visiting this place.
