Old Fort - Review
The Purana Quila or the Old Fort is a beautiful relic of the Mughal past in India. It lives up to its name and it has been recently discovered that the area on which it has been built has been inhabited since as early as 1000 BC. It is certainly the oldest of the Mughal forts. It might be that it was built nearly 5000 years ago long before the Mughals. It was Babur and Sher Shah Suri who started to renovate it.
Intricate carvings in the stone, which are typical characteristics of the Muslim architecture in India, are a wonderful sight to see. The Building of Humayun’s private library is also housed within the Purana Quila. But while the style is largely Mughal, there appear to be quite a few Rajasthani influences on the making of the Qila as well. This very eclectic mix of cultures is extremely interesting to see.
There is also a picturesque lake right outside the old fort. The place is a reminder of several eras of a glorious past all rolled into one. A definite delight for the history lover as well as culture seeker!

Old Fort, Delhi Reviews
Great place to visit. Whether an history enthusiast or a common beauty admirer, one can find candid moments of joy in this finding. It's has old archaeological sites in its premises and old historical and cultural structures as well. Vast open spaces with beautiful structures in the background makes the place a sanctuary for love birds. One can see hundreds of couples swarming on each other and making love in the open day light. Still it's a good place for your family to visit with.
Really well maintained monument, this place has a lot of significance in the history of Delhi. Though not as well known as Red Fort (but still pretty popular), it is beautiful and the walk to the main monument is amazing. Huge lush gardens, and big gates which usher you inside. I was also there once at a music festival and it was the perfect backdrop. If you're in Delhi, I'd recommend it sometime towards the evening (but still with daylight). It's beautiful.
Great place to go with friends. As it is old, it is also known as lover's point. Girls and boys hang around with their friends. Quality time spent here. Tickets are available at no more than Rs 30. I recommend you to go with the shoes on and not in the slippers as there are a lot of stones here and there. If you go their alone you would have that much fun if you go with your friends. Enjoy.....
A worth place to visit. I amaze that I can find a clean park and object tourism in New Delhi. It is a mosque but I found like Israel symbol in its building. In the night, you can enjoy light show and maybe like theatre in two language. The tourism department staff will help you and give information you need. Just ask them
Amazing palace to spend quality time with ur friends. It is a great place to know about our heritage sites. We enjoyed clicking pics and strolling in the parks. Best part was the light and sound show in the evening depicting the history of India esp. of Delhi region. Wanna go again with my friends and family.
