Raj Ghat - Review
Raj Ghat is the name given to the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, the great leader who is known as the father of the Nation in India. However, there are several memorials dedicated to other leaders also present in the same complex called as Raj Ghat.
Memorials of Rajiv Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi as well as others can be found here. The memorial to Rajiv Gandhi is perhaps the most interesting construction. The memorial of Mahatma Gandhi also marks the spot where he was cremated. Each of these people and the memorials are important to the political background of India and hence it is a site of tremendous solemnity. Right across the road from Gandhi’s memorial you will also find the Gandhi museum if you wish to know more about this great leader of India.

Raj Ghat, Delhi Reviews
Good place to visit with anyone say it to be parents, friends, girlfriend etc, the greenery here is at it's epitome. This place is maintained well. You'll like it if you want some peaceful place but sometimes it's crowded. Parking is available and is really good. You have the canteen besides and the food there is hygienic and tasty. Also you can't take the food inside Raj Ghat and you should be in a position to understand this situation if you're literate, keep the place clean. It's also good for people who are in the lieu of good place for jogging, exercise or yoga in the morning.
The eternal flame that burns 24 hours makes you think of the respect the humble man and the father of the nation commands in the hearts of people in India and around the world. The place is peaceful, well maintained and the gardens surrounding it are beautiful. There are quotes by Mahatma Gandhi in the corridors that extend around the memorial. You have to remove all footwear before you enter but there is a facility available so there's no worry there. The place is worth a visit to remember a great man.
This was a very serene place, away from the noise and bustle of the big city. We enjoyed our visit here, part of our city tour. The grounds are kept beautifully, the greenery and flowers are lovely. It was very hot in April, so be sure to have water with you. There are 2 ways to view the memorial platform where Ghandi was cremated, either walk up one of the side ramps and view from above, or from the inside; you walk down the center ramp and take off your shoes to reach the interior. We chose to view from above.
This is place where Mahatma Gandhi and other major contributors to India are given homage. Big area with nice monument and various exhibitions... with knowledge about Mahatma Gandhiji. Overall must visit place at Delhi. Having parking area and other facilities managed by government. A simple memorial to a highly respected man. Quotes are inscribed on plinths as you approach and it is possible to view the memorial from a platform above as well as at the memorial itself. Be aware that if you go to the memorial you must remove your shoes and the ground was red hot when we were there! Also be aware that if you leave your shoes at the attended rack you will need to pay. Incredibly detailed statue of Gandhi is also a must see
A nice peaceful, reflective area away from the chaos of Old Delhi just outside. Only takes 20 minutes to walk round everything but it is worth seeing. You can keep shoes on in the outer grounds but if you into the square with the tomb you must leave shoes outside for free unattended or for 6 Rupees for a ticketed shelf.
