Safdarjungs Tomb - Review
The Safdarjang Tomb is a beautiful marble and sandstone tomb built for a Wazir or chief minister in the Mughal Empire in 1754. It is perhaps the most lavishly built mausoleum that doesn’t belong to an emperor or someone from the royal family in Delhi. The reason for this might be that Safdarjung himself was quite wealthy and powerful.
It isn’t as grand as the other tombs but it has a beautiful garden around it. There are also certain other buildings including a madarsa that have been built around the same area and a part of the premises. The typical Mughal architecture is definitely worth a look. The stone carvings which are very common in Mughal architecture are intricate and stunning. Definitely a must visit if you are a fan of Mughal architecture.

Safdarjungs Tomb, Delhi Reviews
A beautiful place to visit in the morning or evening. In the sun, you'll be busy with sweating and all. So better come here on the day which is less hotter or prefer coming here in the morning during sunrise or sunset. No doubt, this place is beautiful but to enjoy it, you need to choose some specific hour according to the weather. This place is shooting and a group of people who share a good bond, can definitely enjoy it to its fullest. Travel and live happily 😊
After purchasing a ticket, we walked in through the ornate entrance to the start of the fountain, with the tomb in the distance. There was virtually no one else there, which made our visit very peaceful. We walked all around the tomb and took our time to examine the ornate carvings in the sandstone as well as the in-lay work. We stayed a bit less than an hour, but it was well worth it. We walked back to the same metro station and carried on the Central Secretariat where we got off to visit the Rajpath and India Gate.
So soothing environment... A calm place to sit and meditate.. not much crowded.. there is a nominal fee of ₹25.. but you will have lots of fun around Tomb. Explore this place in ur style.. so much for greenery all around tomb.. this monument have 4 faces..
Very good place to visit. Lively but not too much crowded. Can spend some time. The monument is fabulous. U will like Its carvings. U will have to pay for entry and camera charges are also there. Place is green with many trees. Give it a try u will like it also lodhi garden is nearby.
Beautiful historical monument. Ticket is required from the gate. Morning is best timing but mostly pre wedding shooters are here. The place is cool and calm. Have a round of the place without disturbing and touching anything.
