  • I had an overnight stay in Delhi before onward travel and wanted to do something different with my time while in Delhi, and as a solo female traveller I was cautious about exploring Delhi alone. When I came across the reviews for Saffron Palate I was excited to try Neha's cooking class as I am living in India for the next six weeks and wanted to know how to cook with local spices. The reviews are as good as they are for a reason! I took Neha's "Spice Knight" class and was lucky to have the benefit of a one-to-one class. Neha was a wonderfully welcoming host, and I felt like I was chatting with a friend for the duration of the class. On arrival Neha had prepared some tasty snacks and dips, my favourite being the samosas, and we spoke for a while before moving to Neha's newly built kitchen, which is really cute (and spotlessly clean)! Neha guided me through the preparation of four main dishes, and four breads. Wow - they were all so flavoursome and delicious! I can't wait to cook for friends when I get home. After the food was ready Neha & I sat down to eat, we shared stories and Neha taught me a lot about Indian cooking - giving me lots of useful tips! After we ate we visited a local market, where Neha talked me around the different spices available and demonstrated how spices are grinded. When we were finished Neha even arranged an Uber for me when I couldn't access the web from my phone, and offered to take a rickshaw herself - extremely kind gesture! Thank you again Neha, I highly recommend your classes and wish you a busy and happy future ahead! If you are hesitating in taking Neha's class - don't! It was a unique experience and one I won't forget.

  • Wonderful hospitality - learned so much!

  • Neha was incredibly friendly and provided a very informative and thoroughly enjoyable cooking class for a group of 8 friends. Communication in the lead up to the class was good and she was flexible to change the menu up based on our preferences. I would thoroughly recommend.
