A part of the French Nationale, French Submarine Redoutable was the lead boat of the ballistic missile submarines category. It was commissioned in the year 1971 on 1st of December. It had a duty history of 20 years and is known for 90,000 hours of diving. The most fascinating fact is that it covered roughly a distance which is equivalent to the entire radius of 32 kilometres around the earth. After being decommissioned in the year 1991, it was removed from water and subsequently converted into an exhibit, which attracts various tourists from around the area. As an enthusiast of the defence forces or somebody who’s particularly interested in the naval activities, it is indeed a great place to visit.
