Alam Puri Art Museum & Resort, Denpasar Reviews
Pickup from the airport was perfect. Reception was super friendly. Breakfast was good and room was awesome.
Overall: Lovely oasis that offers travelers a peaceful retreat to experience Bali. Atmosphere: Quiet - the only sounds you hear are the water fountains throughout the grounds and birds in the trees. You have to listen closely to get a reminder that you are surrounded by a chaotic transportation organism engulfing the island. Grounds: Well manicured and full of decorative as well as primitive Indonesian Art. Rich display of botanical diversity including orchids, ferns, banana, hibiscus, ixora, plumeria, bougainvillea, vines, bird of paradise, palms, etc.. Pool is inviting and refreshing. Visit the small museum onsite as well for preserved glimpses of Indonesia’s Art and Cultural History. Rooms: Spacious, cool, clean, and comfortable retreat. The gap in the entry and patio doors provided access for the quirky guest entertainment of geckos serenading from above after the lights go out. Never ran out of hot water but the very light water pressure was a friendly reminder of the excess that a Western lifestyle affords. Food: Offers Western style as well as an authentic flavorful assortment of Indonesian dishes in their open air terrace restaurant - Bubur Ayam, Sambal Udang, Nasi Goreng, Soto Ayam, Ayam Goreng, Mei Goreng, Kare Ikan Laut, Bebek Goreng, etc.. WOW!!! Another Bintang please! Location: Consider this to be a peaceful microcosm in an otherwise active and chaotic municipality. It is about 1.5 hours to the DPS Airport and 45 minutes to Ubud. Renting a car is a viable and recommended option to explore the island provided you have sharp driving skills and are not navigationally challenged. For a truly “authentic” experience, sacrifice one of your 9 lives and rent a scooter to dive into the swarm of traffic like a local. There is very little (if anything) within walking distance, so you may also hire a driver for the day, rely on taxis, or take the hotel’s daily shuttle to/from Abud at 10AM/11:15AM, 2PM/3PM or an evening return from Abud at 9PM. The pickup/drop off point is a well stocked grocery that caters to Westerners. Staff: Outstanding! Always courteous, engaging, and focused on ensuring your stay is enjoyable.
Hotel is awesome. Staff too is good. I enjoyed my stay here. Only issues I felt were: 1. No Indian Food Menu 2. Very dim lights in the room 3. Far from City area that is Ubud or Seminyak.
Good place for you want to relax. It is situated away from the city. Good private plunge pool. Wonderful infinity swimming pool. Very responsive and friendly staff. Food is little costly.
It's good place to stay as you have places like antique museums. Surrounding atmosphere is very good and our can easily have natural view around your room.
