This 25000 square feet event space is nice for a quick stroll. It is located right in the heart of Denver. It's a nice place to visit if you want to check out the architecture of the surrounding buildings - Denver Art Museum, and the Denver Public Library's Central Library, the Colorado State Capitol, the City and County Building of Denver, Wellington E. Webb Municipal Office Building, the Colorado History Museum and the Denver Mint. Inside the park is the Voorhees Memorial, a Greek Amphitheatre, lots of nice pathways and rosy bushes. During Christmas, you should come here to click pictures of the City and County Building, which is lit up in brilliant colors. You should always visit during any of the many festivals and parades.

Civic Center, Denver Reviews - Write a Review
Nice, clean park with lovely views of the city. Surprised but not surprised at the large number of homeless by choice kids who stay in the park. I guess bumming cigarettes, begging for coins and having multiple days to yourself without the worries of rent, food, etc appeals to some. The park is nice though. There is a bathroom there which helps although it’s definitely not as clean as our beloved NYC Bryant Park bathroom. Tons of places to sit and because I didn’t see many dog walkers I assume the grass is free of dodo.
This was a really pretty park. The architecture of the buildings was beautiful and for such a big city it was really well kept. Its a beautiful place to take a walk or grab some lunch. They have a bunch of really yummy food trucks too.
It is a good aesthetic spot with entertaining architecture but the area isn't very safe. It is a popular spot for a lot of shady activity... So overall a nice place to see quickly during the day but not to stay at.
This stunning historic landmark is bounded by the State Capitol on one side and the Denver City Hall on the other. At the other compass points are the Voorhees Memorial with its Seal Pond and the Greek Theater. The Park buildings feature a number of murals by noted mural is Alan True. The rest of the Park is filled with formal plantings and a number of notable statues. A beautiful centerpiece for Denver, based on the City Beautiful movement.
Civic Center is a hole. It's right by the state capitol so you think it would be nice but it isn't. It is full of homeless heroin addicts. So not only do you have to avoid being jumped or stabbed by some crack head you also have to avoid stepping on the used needles, puddles of urine, and piles of feces. The needles and pipe are just some of the drugs and drug paraphernalia that are common sights at Civic Center Park.
