LoDo stands for lower downtown. It is nearly as historic a place as Larimer Square. Once it teemed with brothels, now it teems with nightlife (almost 100 bars and pubs). Once severed Native American heads were paraded in its streets, now after-game parties do. The buildings are a mix of charming red brick and clean modernity, and they are one of the hottest places in town to own a home. The neoclassical Union Station is a beautiful building.
