Though this beloved independent bookstore now has four outlets in Denver, this particular outlet is still the favorite of its fan community. With a vast selection, a knowledgeable staff and endless reading corners, the bookstore is a beacon during an era when indie booksellers are having to permanently close shop. There is no way you won't fall in love with the charming old-world atmosphere. And as a lovely bonus, there's a cafe with free Wi-Fi.

Tattered Cover Book Store Reviews & Ratings
I really liked this bookstore. It is a spacious and comfortable space. Perfect for a day browsing books. They have comfortable chairs spread throughout the store. They also have a mix of new and used books which I liked. The only criticism I have is that there are books labeled “staff picks” in almost every section of the store except for Romance which seemed a little sexist to me.
Absolutely loved my visit to the Tattered Cover bookstore. It is large and spacious, and has generous, comfortable seating to sit and enjoy a book. It is designed to encourage an extended, relaxing visit, which is both wonderful and increasingly rare. I was subsequently able to purchase a delightful book about General Custer that I enjoyed greatly. If you have the opportunity, I very much encourage a visit here to support an amazing independent bookstore.
This is a really awesome bookstore. There is a huge wide selection of books and I love that they have staff recommendations throughout. All the books I've picked up through the recommendations have been hits and that is always awesome. I also love how knowledgable the staff is. Any time that I can get into a conversation about Bradbury's "all summer in a day" when I'm at the checkout is a good time to me.
I could spend all day in this bookstore. Its unique, fairly priced, and you want to buy every book. Love just sitting on the floor and reading.
Great bookstore! Reminds me of Powell's City of Books in Portland crossed with the corner bookstores we all imagined in books as kids. Great staff, nice selection.
