Wynkoop Brewing Company - Review
Founded in 1988, this is one of the oldest brewpubs in Colorado. The more than forty varieties of beer you will find here cover thee types: classic, seasonal, and rule-breakers. They brew them in small batches, serve them with terrific food and are housed in a beautiful 1888 historic building that used to be the J. S. Brown Mercantile Building. That giant metal door you see used to be the vault door! There's a pool hall. In the basement you'll find the Impulse Theater, a popular improv-comedy venue. On the second floor is the Wynkoop Billiards, one of the coolest pool halls in the city. Public tours are free, though you can reserve a paid private tour.

Wynkoop Brewing Company, Denver Reviews
Good beer. Like, really good beer. But no A/C! It's hotter than Satan's balls in there, especially after a couple of those really good beers. The bathrooms are decent. Clean but could use a little maintenance.
A huge array of in-house brewed beers available, which were all very good. The decor, setting and space was cool, with a 360 degree circular bar. The food was also good, and brewery tours are available. The only reason for the four stars was that once it picked up a little, service became quite slow and sat there for at least 20 minutes with empty beers trying to get the cheque.
This place is amazing! The food was extraordinarily delicious, they had a wide selection of homebrewed beers, and the setting was genuinely fun. The music selection was rather eclectic, but overall very good, an enjoyable mix of classic rock (and some more contemporary rock), with some of the better pop and hip-hop. The top floor had a variety of arcade-type entertainment: billiards, air hockey, ski ball... While some of their beers were very good, my one complaint is that quite a few were flavored with pepper, not too bad, just not something I'm used to. Bottom line, whenever in Denver, make sure to stop at Wynkoop!
This is my favorite place in Denver when I cone visit. The atmosphere is relaxed, the bartenders are knowledgeable and the beer is awesome. Super close to the stadium. Food is top notch. Just go there, I promise you won't be disappointed.
We had 6 hours and nothing to do so we went here on a recommendation from a friend. It was the best decision! Pool is free until 5pm and they have generous happy hour specials. There is a ton of space too with darts, shuffleboard, foosball, and Some arcade games. The best part was the staff. The bartender, The Hammer, made us feel welcomed, recommended places to eat and hang out along our trip to Vegas and then LA. I can’t say enough good things. You just have to try it for yourself if you’re in lower downtown Denver.
