Founded in 1988, this is one of the oldest brewpubs in Colorado. The more than forty varieties of beer you will find here cover thee types: classic, seasonal, and rule-breakers. They brew them in small batches, serve them with terrific food and are housed in a beautiful 1888 historic building that used to be the J. S. Brown Mercantile Building. That giant metal door you see used to be the vault door! There's a pool hall. In the basement you'll find the Impulse Theater, a popular improv-comedy venue. On the second floor is the Wynkoop Billiards, one of the coolest pool halls in the city. Public tours are free, though you can reserve a paid private tour.

Wynkoop Brewing Company Reviews & Ratings

  • We were here for vacation and walked in this restaurant. We were greeted warmly. Beers were excellent and food was great. It’s right across union station. I highly recommend it. Beer 🍺 aficionados, you can’t go wrong here. They also have good vegan 🌱 options.

  • Drinks and food were amazing and I don't want to discount that BUT hands down the absolute highlight of our Wynkoop experience was the service. Dave far exceeded any and all expectations. Literally the best service I've had in years. Give that man a raise because he exponentially enhanced our experience and therefore enhances the value of your company. Kudos to the rest of the staff as well. Overall I'd say the experience couldn't have been more positive. Thanks Dave and Wynkoop for the good food, good booze, good time, and good vibes!

  • This place is credited with revitalizing Denver’s downtown area. It has seen better days that is for sure. The best thing going for this place is the proximity to Coors Field. Cool place to grab a beer but leave it at that. So many better places to eat in Denver (see Work&Class).

  • I really love this spot. The beer choices are excellent. The staff is awesome. The games are fantastic. The patio has a beautiful view of Union Station. The wooden architecture is beautiful. The food is good. I love it here.

  • Take my reservation 5 days before date and your closed for private party!!!!!!!!!! I called to make reservation for 9 people on 8/4 at 11am. Guy said he could accommodate my party. Two tables for 9 people. Sweet. Spent an hour looking for a restaurant that could help out on a concert night. Billy Joel. Get to the restaurant to find out it’s closed for a private party. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! 9 people running around looking for a place to eat at 6pm. ruined my whole night. My birthday dinner consist of fried chicken strips and fries at a ball park. THANKS!!!!!!! Will never come back, or recommend to anyone. Making promises you can keep is the worst.
