  • We are a long-time fan of Acme Oyster House, having discovered them in New Orleans. So, we we're excited to be able to have dinner here in Destin and my wife was salivating over the anticipation of grilled oysters. Server was very nice and friendly but totally inept. He took our order for appetizer and never came back. We had to ask to order dinner. Food was good - not great, similar to any seafood chain. First bowl of soup was wrong. Finally received correct order but it was cool/warm. We had to wait for ice to melt to have something more to drink. I finally asked another server for our check. Our server brought the check, explaining he gave a 10% discount to our check because he was really swamped. He hopes we will come back because he's usually a better waiter, he just had a bad night. Food = 4 Service = -1

  • We love to visit this Acme location when we visit Baytowne. Service always seems to be friendly and quick. My favorite menu item is the grilled marinated shrimp. It is delicious as well as the sweet potato fries served as a side.

  • My boyfriend and I ended up at the Wharf on a whim. We were pretty tired of eating the same thing so we decided to give Acme a try. Thank goodness we did! We were so impressed. Our food was so good, and my boyfriend tends to be very picky when it comes to his food... even he wants to go back. I believe the owner/manager, Steve served us at the bar while shucking oysters and taking orders, he was incredibly fast and accomadating. The fellow bar tending did not stop moving and making drinks for the entire time we were there - he didn't miss a beat. Steve told us before we left we'd see him again (back at his restaurant) and he was exactly right! We cant wait to come back and try something different. I thoroughly enjoyed the red beans and rice, whereas my boyfriend enjoyed the grilled marinated chicken. It was off the chain, and don't forget it about the appetizer we had.. the boom boom shimp. It was all SO good. Unfortunately we didn't save room for desert, we'll know better next time 😀

  • So good and very filling. Red beans & rice is good and very cold beers for those very hot days. Great stop for tourist and very friendly wait staff. They were busy from the moment we arrived until we left, but we were in quickly and served quickly.

  • Food was good not incredible. Ive been once cant see myself going twice. Its located in a resort and you will be charged a small fee just to eat on the resort. Horrible seating we were way too close to the party next to us we pretty much had our table joined with strangers. people were butt bumping our table while we were trying to eat. I was in a hurry to finish eating just to get out of that congested situation.
