Ford Field, home to the Detroit Tigers, is an indoor American Football stadium located in downtown Detroit.
This colossal stadium has played host to some of the biggest recent events such as the Super Bowl XL in 2006, Wrestlemania 23 in 2007 and Basketbowl in 2003, which saw the biggest ever crowd to attend a basketball game. In addition to sports events, the stadium also plays host to conferences like ELCA Youth Gatherings and the 2014 Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM)Midwest Regional Conference sponsored by Department of Emergency Medicine at Wayne State University and the Detroit Medical Center, as well as concerts by musical bigwigs like The Rolling Stones (2002), Madonna (2008), Taylor Swift (2011 & 2013) and One Direction (2014).
The football games here provide a one of a kind experience. The large indoor space has lot of natural light let in, courtesy of the large windows, yet shield the crowd from the elements. The pitch is perfectly visible from seats in every corner of the stadium, so you will be able to see the pitch no matter where your seats are located. Ford Field, Detroit Reviews - Write a Review
I was there with my family for the Lions game for the first time (for me). The stadium was awesome!! I have been to many others. This one was far most the cleanest, the staff are beyond helpful. Food was competitive prices. It was just great and we all had a wonderful time!
We opted for the club level seats and the views were great. the main area with all the bars and restaurants was very very well-kept, lots of choices and plenty of comfortable seating. I highly recommend checking out a game or an event here. The picture is from section 211 row 13 good view
Went there to buy a new jersey and was able to go in the store. No one was shopping so had the store nice and open to my self. The ladies working there were nice and helpful. As we were leaving the security guy was asking us about going to the game and just making a good conversation. Nice enjoyable quick visit.
Was great to get to a Lions game finally! Coming from Australia the experience was awesome! Even though we had great seats I doubt there is a bad seat in the house. Drink prices and food were the same as most stadiums but we barely stood in a line at all. Even the bathroom lines the most I had to wait was 2 minutes. The only thing that was a negative was that the no bags rule is SUPER STRICT which I can understand. But my partner brought a tiny purse and we didn’t get turned away until we had lined up for about 30 mins and got right to the gate. Only to have to go and check it and return to the end of the line and miss kickoff. It could be sign posted better or they could have people letting you know before you join the long lines to get in to the stadium. Other than that. It was great!
Such a cool place to visit. Lions game was awesome and the entry/exit from the stadium was orderly and we'll managed. Lots of parking in the area but really expensive if you are there for the tailgate parties. Traffic was ok after the game easy to find our way out of the city. Will definitely return.
