Hartland Point Lighthouse marks the western limit channel of Bristol with the Atlantic Ocean which flows towards west. The lighthouse was designed by Sir James Douglass. The lighthouse is designed as a 4.9 feet high white coloured cylindrical tower along with a balcony and a lantern attached to the keeper’s house at the keeper’s house in the 2nd story of the tower. There is a 3rd order 500 mm 6 panel rotating lens attached to the tower. Hartland Point Lighthouse has been designated as grade II heritage building.
