  • A must visit place for summer time. Need to trek to reach this beautiful sightseeing lake. No option of food and accommodation. You need to carry your loads on your own. Need some tent. The one who found it difficult to breathe, it's better to avoid then. Can reach to chilling temperature during winter. Good to visit in groups. Some time near by wild animal came here to silent their thirst. If need more info can go to himachal tourism website. Some activities near by in pictures

  • Kareri Lake is a high altitude lake situated in the Dhauladhar range and is few hours drive from a vary famous city of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala. Kareri lake trek is one of the best treks in India and it offers awesome sceneries throughout the trek.

  • One of the best treks I have been to so far. The trek starts off from Kareri Village and is around 13 km long. The trail is well marked and one can easily follow it however, there are few places where one can get off track. Monsoon is not a good time to trek as there are chances of animal attacks and the shacks are closed so for long stretches you do not find any human. Apart from this, the trek is steep at some points. There is water availability from the Niyund stream so you just need to carry a bottle. Small eatables are a must BUT KINDLY DO NOT THROW THE LITTER. It is not a very famous trek and therefore is comparatively cleaner on its way. However, there are few people who have littered the trail with wrappers and bottles. DO NOT LITTER. The trail passes through dense forest therefore it is advisable to travel in groups. Rest where you must but make sure you leave on time. Walking stick proper shoes and a rain coat is a must. You may take a halt at reoti which is a mid way (6.5 km from kareri village). Kareri Village and Kareri Lake are two different places. And the distance between them is 13 km. Reoti provides you with camps and food at reasonable price and the camp in charge named Raj is a very good host. They have two shepherd dogs that are equally welcoming. EnjoY!! DO NOT POLLUTE ANY PRISTINE WATERBODY. Stay away from bright coloured myshrooms and stinging nettle plants.

  • Moderate trek. A perfect place to have peace of mind

  • Once upon a time it must be a nice place but not any more there was less water in the lake and alegi all around people has litter this place though the 10 km trek was awsome lots of routes goes up high in the mountains from this lake if u trek little more far and upward u will find nice views
