The port-marina along Rance River is one of the liveliest places in the city. It is also one of the most beautiful walks. In the summer, the waters are very busy with cruise boats. Old stone houses have been converted into riverside restaurants. Not only are they great places to eat, they are also great places to people watch. Further up the walk, you’ll see a 15th century bridge that crosses over Lanvallay. There, at the Maison de la Rance, is a discovery centre that will acquaint you with the history of life on the river. The Rue de Petit-Fort ends at the port – do step into it’s cobbled streets and half timbered houses that are filled with arts and crafts shops.

  • Lovely part of france nice food and wine steep clime to main part of denan but worth the clime

  • Historic port town in Brittane. Architecture is amazing .Can be a very steep walk so bring comfy shoes.Parking always busy. Restaurants also busy.Good spot to visit

  • Port of Dinan is lovely but make sure you go up the steep hill to the town.

  • There is very little about dinan that wasn't picture perfect . Lots of reasonably priced restaurants and creperies down by the river make for a lovely atmosphere and the old walled town above is certainly worth an explore

  • Amazing! Be sure to find the street that leads away from the water, it's a steep climb but worth it!
