  • I visited the pub with a friend for the first time on August Bank Holiday weekend. It was long awaited trip. The town was busy, but for me there was only one place to to - to see Tommy and another local musician Jeremy Spencer playing the fiddle. I had first seen Tommy in the late 1980s in London where he along with many others was part of the strong Irish pub scene. He returned to Ireland I think in the early 1990s and I have followed him on and off over the past 30 years years and its was great to see him performing again live with new fresh material and it lovely to hear renditions of trad songs like the Galway Shawl and Peggy Gordon. The pub was busy , but people listened attentively to the music in lovely comfortable surroundings and with good service from the bar. I will definitely be going back .If you want the authentic Irish trad sound and a good atmosphere then make your way to the Courthouse in Dingle. I never met Saundra his wife main co musician on his latest CD , but I can vouch she adds to the quality of the music on the CD.

  • Fantastic pints. No TV. Great live music. Cool staff. Lovely place for a chat as the music ends. A gem.

  • Brilliant pub. Great Guiness, music and company. Expert staff. Can't ask for more!

  • Great pint, great music, and sound staff. Would recommend calling in here for a traditional Irish pub.

  • I've been here a few times. Good spot for a beer and a chat. There's traditional Irish music on. I was there one night a while back and a few young lads were giving it a go - they were great. Really injected energy into the tired old trad songs of yore. Warning - mind your head! (if you're tall)
