Pamplin Historical Park is located in Petersburg just 15 minutes away from Dinwiddie. It is spread over an area of 424 acres. A significant part of the Petersburg Breakthrough Battlefield and the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier are both located in the park. The park also has many pre-Civil war structures. The 3 miles of park trail takes you through many such structures. The Pamplin Historical Park is listed under the National Register of Historic Places.
