Summer in Diu is pretty humid, but the city's proximity to the ocean makes everything bearable. It rains a lot in summer and early autumn, and that makes it off season. Peak season kicks off between may and October, with many families and couples coming over in December-February. Culturally, the best time to visit is October and November, when the Navaratras are being celebrated.

• Summer: April - June: The days are hot and humid, averaging 30-38 degrees Celsius. Nights are about 5-7 degrees cooler, which doesn't always help.
• Monsoon: August - October: Heavy rains help drive the temperatures down, but its still humid. Expect daytime temperatures of 23-27 degrees Celsius.
• Winter: November - March: January is usually the coldest time of the year, with temperatures sometimes reaching 12 degrees Celsius at night. But it's the lack of humid weather that draws tourist interest at this time.
