The castle is said to be built in the year 1352 probably during Mongol invasion. It was built under the name of “Castrum Somlo”. The castle has passed from various different heirs and today is established as a tourist attraction. The history of the castle is quite rich and you must witness this rich and varied heritage while in Doba. Although it is in ruins, this castle has a lot to offer in form of views and historic significance to everybody who wishes to explore it.
