This archaeological site was discovered first in 1960 and three decades later there were more excavations of ceramics materials, Mesolithic sculptures and so on. The current location of the site includes a number of satellite villages belonging to the Mesolithic and Neolithic period. Vodenica, Padina, Vlasac and Ikauna are some of these sites where tools made of stones and bones, ruins of houses, sacral objects are found. It is an open-air site located in the middle of Djerdap, Iron Gates Gorge and the horseshoe shaped shelf between the right bank of Danube and the Korso Hills. You will see a large square complex where the rituals were conducted in the Mesolithic period. A number of sculptures made of round rocks representing human figurine can be seen by the fireplace. There are also some symbols on the sculptures that resemble sketches, numbers and words.
