Started off in 1985 with only 99 seats, the Fletch Bozzel Theatre had an arrangement where you could easily hit your head on the ceiling and a small stage that was built on a small restroom! Today, the theatre has expanded and has become one of the most famous spots to see professional and amateur live performances in the city.
The performances by Gerd Dudenhöffer, Lioba Albus and Sandra Schmitz are the highlight of the place and along with a series of productions, art events and guest performances, the theatre is a good spot to spend an evening in Dortmund. The place also has a gallery to promote local artists and works both as an independent theatre and with collaborations with the local cultural organisations to offer cultural programmes and course. If you are in the city and love theatre or stand up comedy, do make sure you see a live show here.
