About Parashar Lake, D.p.f. Parashar Dhar
Prashar Lake lies 49 km north of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India, with a three storied pagoda-like temple dedicated to the sage Prashar. The lake is located at a height of 2730 m above sea level. This one beautiful place, 49 Kms North of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh which actually saved our trip. This small place could easily be called "Peace seekers Paradise". Good place for people who love trekking but are not very pro at it. the Trek is small with minimum difficulty but the view is worth the visit. Anyone who is visiting Mandi should atleast once, visit this place.
One of best place for visit in a single day from Mandi. Very serene and a way a less crowd than some other less beautiful and overrated spot. You can taking mesmerizing picture on a clear day.Two resthouse for stay and camping site. This place is as beautiful as it can get.
Situated around 100 km from bir-billing parashar lake has a breath taking view. Present on a hill top the lake gives an heavenly feeling. Don't be surprised to find yourself in the clouds. The road to parashar is not so wide and one needs to be very cautious while driving. Camping at the site adds to the fun. Also, don't forget to have himachali rajma with rice once you reach there :)
20 km by road or 12 km trekking.. trekking route was full of mesmerising beauty although a part of trekking route was full of leaches; otherwise it was a whole new lovely experience
