  • We loved it BUT we timed it for the free tour and it didn't happen. But no one said it wasn't happening so we wasted a bit of time waiting as instructed before doing our own thing before getting back on the boat. So we missed out on the visitor center. We had fun reading the panels to each other though and it's so beautiful and magical, even without the tour.

  • Very pleased with our visit. I’m sure it’s a very expensive location to maintain and we thought the entry fee was reasonable compared to the value. Unfortunately, they don’t allow dogs, but this is understandable because they don’t want people on the lawns, and the dogs would certainly find their way there. Also, considering that this is a historic site, I can understand why they don’t want dogs doing their business here. It just makes sense. I have a service dog and, if I had brought her I’m sure she would have been allowed. Just a quick recommendation… If you are handicapped or someone in your party is handicapped, you might want to take one of the electric scooters offered. It can be a bit of a hike, and if you struggle, it would make it easier. Thanks for a pleasant and informative experience!

  • I walked two miles away from my walking trail to see this when I arrived I just saw coach after coach of people jumping off paying a fee then walking down to see a few wall's and a few pics not to forget that so they can show there friends then jumping back on the coach big carbon foot print so at this point I turned round and carried on with the great glen trail if you want to explore Scotland you need to walk. Plenty of good trails.

  • Lovely ride on the ferry to reach the castle. Amazing vies of Loch Ness from the top of the castle wall. The grounds are beautifully kept. Nice stone stairs directly to the loch. Really organized with disembarking and reloading the ferry. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Recommend this site very highly.

  • The place was nice.. Although the castle had ruins and it was not one of the finest castles in Scotland. So it is not the main attraction, the main attraction is the Loch Ness cruise ride from there. Its amazing and beautiful which is a must visit.
