Dubai Museum Reviews & Ratings
It is one of the best places to visit in Dubai. The museum is built in one of the oldest forts of Dubai. It shows the history and culture of Dubai and how it developed from ancient times. You can see a lot of artefacts and many statues which tells the story of erstwhile Dubai. It would take around 25-40 minutes to peacefully see the whole museum. One can also buy souvenirs or any gift item from the shop located at the end of the museum.
This must be one of the best bargains in Dubai - it's cheap to get in to the museum, which is set inside the old Al Fahidi fort built more than 200 years ago. The museum explains about Dubai's growth from a tiny fishing village to an international commerce hub and illustrates it with dioramas. It doesn't take too long to visit but gives a good insight into how Dubai came to be in the form we know today. You might need a little help from Google Maps to actually find the museum - it's not immediately obvious!
Interesting place where you will see the development of Dubai. There are exhibitions of craftsman, fisherman, houses, clothes and so on. This a cross between a museum and an attraction. It has the story of Dubai, which is not long with reconstructions and some original pieces. It's well laid out with a one way system and the usual well stocked gift shop at the end. It is not expensive and most importantly, it's a cool place to get out of the midday sun.
Our children had a great time at this museum. Access and parking to it is a bit complicated specially during peak time. The museum is excellent. It exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend
Is a place I really recommend people to go, it is very cheap to go and is so amazing to know the place of Dubai. The only thing I feel they should change is the sign where it says “toilet, exit and galleries” instead of “galleries” should be call “history exhibition” because when you finish the first part you think is only that and when you see that signs you think is nothing more to see where is a lot at the galleries. But definitely is a place I would recommend people to go to know more about Dubai history.
