Love this place regular meeting spot with a good friend of mine for breakfast once a month. Great breakfast lovely brown bread. Staff always good and very accommodating. Takes cards now but was cash only for a long time. Worth checking its working before ordering.
Very nice cafe for breakfast that had friendly staff and good food. It's a place that locals visit if you want to get away from other tourists in town. We ordered The Big and the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. They both had big portions and were delicious.
Iv been going here for a casual 6/7 years on and off. It's been pretty full time the last 4years.... I became quite attached to the full Irish fry. In fact it almost became a problem, then I had to join a gym. Once I joined the gym I started having the poached eggs on homemade brown bread with some salads. Now I vary between omelettes and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Lunches here aren't really for the faint hearted. Go hungry and if the chicken in chilli, lime and coriander is on the menu get it, no seriously, order it now. General banter is reciprocated well here, have a laugh with the staff and I'm sure you will get a good response. (unless it's before their morning coffee) Good food and well priced in Dublin 1! Oh the brown bread, scones and cakes are made on site which is a nice touch too!
Walking past, caught one of the workers, presumably a manger or the owner, chucking a filthy cigarette butt onto the street. Unacceptable. Politely asked not to litter and was told I should have a chat with my girlfriend because she had a plastic bottle for a 3 hour bus journey. I agreed that we she should have a reusable bottle but couldn't get an agreement on his worker littering directly outside their establishment. I won't be bringing my business here. Please support businesses who don't litter their disgusting filth onto the streets of our only habitable planet
Food was fab. Coffee was yummy. Staff very friendly. Xx
