National Wax Museum Plus, Dublin Reviews - Write a Review
Hadn't been to the Irish Wax Museum since I was a child (and the one thing I remembered was the tunnels). It's now located at O'Connell Bridge with one of the upstairs rooms, featuring the literature figures, overlooking it. In the door you have a few Star Wars characters and the stairs (with cool tunnel stairs for kids) leading up to the first room which had science and learning (this was perhaps my favourite). Then some famous figures (including Donald Trump), the Father Ted room and then the kids/superheroes room which had Peppa, Simpsons, Bob the Builder, Harry Potter, Superman, Batman and more. Down stairs (with all the clocks on the wall) and back in time (including scenes from 1916 and Irish Folklore). There is an optional Chamber of Horrors (for 16 years and over). On the way out you have Mrs Brown heading into the shop. You can also leave with a cool souvenir, a wax copy of your hand, highly recommended.
It starts kind of slow slow, but then it does get better. The entrance has a cool little tunnel to climb through that the kids in to get to the main entrance. There are a variety of different rooms in a museum from a superhero room to a couple of history rooms and a horror museum section. The place is good to go to once or maybe twice to go show somebody. But definitely worth your time if you need something to do.
This was fantastic experience. Kids really loved it. Enjoyed our day out.
Good but not great. One of a kind in Ireland but you will be slightly disappointed after London one.
Good for a one off visit if your around, however I thought there would be a little more to it. I'm sure kids would love it
