National Wax Museum was loved by my kids. It has sections to admire all ages of kids. The chambers of horror were a lot of fun, although they were scary for little kids, but they laughed at people who were scared. The science and discovery section however was not so big, but kids enjoyed what they have found. I recommend putting this attraction in when developing your itinerary for visiting Dublin, you don't want to miss such a great experience.
A must see, if visiting Dublin. Excellent staff, a good tie in deal available if you wish to visit the Rock n Roll museum too. 3 levels to visit, taking you through science, history, famous people, horror and fantasy, to name just a little of what on offer. A fantastic gift shop and a chance to have a wax mould made of your hands available too. Give yourself at least 1 1/2hrs to appreciate what's on show.
National wax museum - Good time pass- not the best but also not the worst - Ghost hotel was very nice, glass house maze was good. Few things kid can enjoy the place... Ambiance is very good. Polite staffs...
It was nice. Wax models was interesting and unique. I would have liked a tour guide though and they would maybe try and make it a bit more interactive. Also try and incorporating some special effects.
If you're looking to learn more about famous people from Ireland and others from around the world then stop by The National Wax Museum Plus. The wax figures are very lifelike and they have plenty of them - 4 floors! The bar and the basement were my favorite areas. There are restrooms in the basement and a service elevator to get you to each floor except the bar. The bar has a smaller elevator, so you won't miss anything! Bring your camera and some props because you'll want to look great standing next to your friends and foes. Have fun!
