One of the leaders in the national movement, Daniel O’ Connell lends his name to this street. If you are in Dublin it is very likely that you will pass the street but if you don’t so try to make a trip to admire its historic importance and grandeur. A prominent feature of the street is the O’Connell Monument made of black stone, containing many statues with one  of the O’Connell himself at the top.

The street is always busy with tourists and locals. It is one of the widest streets of Ireland with trees planted along its path. The Parnell Monument, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Pillar etc are found on the O’Connell Street. Decorated bus stops with interesting seating arrangements are a real sight to see for the pedestrians along O’Connell Street. • For the main Street of a capital city it is a glorified bus depot with drug dealers openly selling and addicts shouting their heads off all day long. Definitely not a safe place to be hanging around by yourself at night.

  • it's one of the beautiful street of the world. Every time i'm there i feel at home.

  • Great service...Nice place !

  • Union man always a union man

  • Had a great taste of the irish football celebrations, that had to be explained to me their significance as l am new to the city. I would definitely recommend anyone l know to expect a modern irish experience.
