One of the leaders in the national movement, Daniel O’ Connell lends his name to this street. If you are in Dublin it is very likely that you will pass the street but if you don’t so try to make a trip to admire its historic importance and grandeur. A prominent feature of the street is the O’Connell Monument made of black stone, containing many statues with one of the O’Connell himself at the top.
The street is always busy with tourists and locals. It is one of the widest streets of Ireland with trees planted along its path. The Parnell Monument, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Pillar etc are found on the O’Connell Street. Decorated bus stops with interesting seating arrangements are a real sight to see for the pedestrians along O’Connell Street. Be sure to take a stroll down this road while taking a walk down this street.

Busy as busy Dublin gets! Beautiful avenue, modern and wide. Hopefully the shops and future plans for this street with the new luas will make it even better! Make sure to visit inside the GPO (general post office), it's beautiful. This is also where we have the main Christmas tree in winter.:-)
Great service...Nice place !

Had a great taste of the irish football celebrations, that had to be explained to me their significance as l am new to the city. I would definitely recommend anyone l know to expect a modern irish experience.
