Powerscourt Waterfall , Dublin Reviews
On a lovely day it's a wonderful place to go for a barbecue with friends and family. Natural Irish waterfall accept no swimming and extremely Rocky. I think the only handy think about this location is the fact you can bring your own barbecue. You're charged entry onto the land which is extremely off-putting and a land tax I've seen better waterfalls in Croatia or the Philippines. I Give It 3 stars for family friend barbecues and you definitely need to be driving go check this place out because as far as I know there's plenty of other locations to see.
Stunning waterfall, tallest in Ireland. At the time of our visit it was €6/adult. Worth the price. Beautiful grounds where you can picnic and spend the day. There’s a little shop where you can get food, coffee and ice cream. Also a very comprehensive playground for kids.
On a nice day this is a lovely place to go with the whole family. There is a place to get takeaway food, tea, coffee and refreshments. You can bring your own food and BBQ and have it out doors while the kids run around. There is a play ground to let the children enjoy themselves but nice weather is essential.
Fantastic spot for a BBQ. Lots of open green space to set up and dedicated area for dumping hot coals & ash. Lots of parking around the coffee shop, toilets & playground. The waterfall is a nice center piece to the area but requires some scrambling over rocks to get up close to. The river winds along the edge of the area if you fancy dipping your toes in. Can get very busy on a sunny day and queues can get huge.
Went to the gardens first then came here thinking the ticket included this. Drove 10+m only to see the 6 Euro pp entry fee. Should have read the reviews here, but the estate should do a better job of explaining the costs all around especially since they promote the gardens and the waterfall in one day. It also seems like most people spend the entire day here (based on reviews), we were going to just stop by at 6 (closes at 7). The estate should give a free tier after 3/4pm if you show your garden ticket (which isn't cheap either). Kind of just leaves a nickel and dime sensation and therefore a 2 star review.
