St Audeon is a quaint church located on the south of the River Liffey at Cornmarket in Dublin. Considered to be the oldest parish church in Dublin, this church is named after StOuen (or Audoen) of Rouen (Normandy), a saint who is believed to have lived in the seventh century. The church was erected in 1190 by the Anglo- Normans, who arrived in Dublin after 1172. It would be a nice idea to see the beauty, historicity and quaintness of this church while you are in the city of Dublin.

It is one of the oldest Church in Europe, St. Audoen is not the same as St. Avdoeni.
Kind, thoughtful community of Catholics.
Stunningly beautiful medieval (7th century) church in Dublin; they offer small guided tours which I highly recommend to learn more about the history of this historic parish church located in the heart of the walled medieval city; they occasionally have art exhibitions and concerts.
Such a hidden gem (while not actually being hidden at all!) I loved the music being piped through and the architecture is beautiful. The exhibit was informative without overloading you. Well worth a trip
