Temple Bar is a famous place in Dublin situated in the southern coast of river Liffey. The old-timey tapered cobblestone streets and the old builidngs are what make the place a perfect place for tourists to visit. There are several Bars and restaurants that dot the area. These are the places where most Dubliners will go to have a good time. The walls of the restaurants are decorated with multi-colored banners. The bars like the Quays Bar, Czech Inn, the Temple Bar, and the Foggy Dew etc are all night places so you can grab a cold one there any time. You will also find popular chains like TGI Fridays and Hard Rock Cafe here.

Moreover the cute little shops and stalls on the street selling small gift items, give the place its rustic charm. Temple Bar also has an interesting live music street culture. This live music is a huge attraction for people. People are seen playing guitar on the street while singing. This laid back and fun loving atmosphere make Dublin the city what it is.

The Dublin Institute of Photography is also here. There are also a couple of small fashionable markets around the area. The famous Merchant’s Arch is also in the Temple Bar area. All in all, it is definitely a great place to hang out and do some people watching.

Temple Bar Company, Dublin Reviews - Write a Review

  • The famous Temple Bar Pub - amazing place! There's so many different areas inside and even an open-top area in the middle. The food and drinks are a bit pricey but then so is the whole of Dublin so it's what you expect. The food is all homemade and absolutely spot on, try the gourmet sandwiches, they come with little pieces of cake too to finish your lunch off perfectly. There's live music every day and night and the atmosphere is buzzing. When i go back to Dublin, The Temple Bar will be the first place i visit, love it!

  • Traditional pub with great Irish music. One of the most popular pubs but with matching prices! Relaxing and a good place to rest your aching feet.

  • Really nice pub, quite large good service and friendly staff. Obviously extremely touristy and the prices reflex this. Good to pop in to see when it's not really busy.

  • Great pub in the centre of the tourist area. More whiskies than you can imagine. Live music in one bar while the other is a nice snug place to drink or eat. It's a bit pricier than other pubs in the area but you get what you pay for.

  • A fantastically authentic Irish bar. Rammed busy at half 4 in afternoon on a Tuesday - extrapolate from that what you will, but it's a thumbs up in my book. Attentive staff, reasonable prices and speedy service.
