  • I really enjoyed my stay. The people were friendly and very helpful. They made me feel welcome. Food was good and accommodation clean and comfortable, perfectly adequate for my needs. There's a lovely little park down beside where the waters meet too. I wished I could have stayed longer.

  • My family stayed at The Meetings in June 2017. The facility has everything one would want from a rural hotel - pub, bar, restaurant and a small shop. The room was clean and updated, and looked out over the river. The pub was very vibrant, especially during an international football match between Ireland and Austria. When we got home, we discovered that I had forgotten our son's baby blanket. Derek and the staff went above and beyond, finding the blanket and posting it back to us in the US. This mad a huge difference for me and my wife, since the blanket was handmade by my mother-in-law. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at The Meetings again when in the area.

  • Went here for my 40th birthday. Ordered a platter for starter, the chicken wing were over cooked, the ribs were tough so you had to rip the meat off the bone and the falafel were so dense you could have played ping pong with them. My husband got steak with chips and pepper sauce, the chips were cold so we informed the waitress so she ordered us another batch but didn't offer to take the cold ones. When he received the chips he had to wait for me to finish to put the cold chips on my plate so he could eat the new chips. The chips arrived in a metal bucket with no handle so hot he nearly burnt his hand tipping them out he asked for more pepper sauce as he had wasted it on the cold chips and he was served mushroom sauce( actual mushrooms in it) with some pepper thrown in. My husband does not like mushroom sauce so second batch of chips ruined. My roast chicken with orange glaze had no orange on it. We did complain and the waitress kinda tried to justify a few things like the falafel being to dense for our taste and and the fact that the glaze was cooked into the chicken was why I couldn't taste it. A few she could not like the cold chips and mushroom sauce( showed her the mushrooms in the sauce) so she compted our drinks. Very disappointing evening.

  • Nothing too special, but nice place to stay for a (OK) coffee and enjoy the view while on the road.

  • Loved The Meetings. It exceeded our expectations. We arrived early and they worked to get our room ready. We were there on Sunday and they played traditional music outside for 2 hours. Food was great and well priced Great first day in Ireland
