I really like this place. Really good for a family Sunday dinner. Staff are friendly and efficient. The food is always good - I had the lamb the last time I was there and it was excellent. Shared an excellent dessert with my wife. Very good. A real cost spot on a winters afternoon.
Great time, very entertaining and welcoming. Food was exceptional. Only drawback was the shuttle driver hired by the Merry Ploughboys whom I found to be rude. Was advised if we were not outside immediately after the show he would leave us there, this statement was unnecessary. Otherwise the music, dancers and food was well worth a visit
We went there for lunch. Good food and nice environment. Must be a real fun in the evenings, with the musicians, the dancers, the locals, the tourists and the craic. What let me down are the portions: scampi were delicious but four or five more would have not disturbed my digestion...Idem for the Pork belly: if you really don’t want to add one more slice, at least do not lay it on a thin veil of mashed potatoes .......presentation is important but it is nice to please also the belly ;) Selection of tap beers not great: would love to find a few more locals beers when I go around for pubs, especially now that the Irish brewers are offering a wide selection of excellent craft beers.
Absolutely fantastic. The music was excellent and the food was terrific. If you want real Irish entertainment then you will go here. Make sure you are upstairs to listen to the Merry Ploughboys.
Yes it's touristy, but done very well. We took 3 generations (ages from 70+ to 5) and everyone loved it. The food was fantastic, delicious and good portions. The staff were very friendly. The venue is great, not too crowded and everyone has a good view. They even raise the stage for the dancing. The 4 Merry Ploughboys are fantastic musicians and very entertaining with their jokes too. They had the whole crowd joining in singing and clapping along. The 5 dancers were very impressive. A great mix of music, dance and laughter. Loved the whole show. Highly recommended.
