The Stag's Head - Review

Established sometime in the 1780s, the Stag’s head is a traditional Irish Pub. One of Dublin’s best preserved Victorian pubs, the interiors will leave you in awe- with Victorian mahogany fittings, granite tabletops, a red marble bar-top and mosaic marble tiled floors. Apart from serving great concoctions, the pub also offers whiskey tastings, live comedy shows, live Irish music shows and delicious snacks and soups to accompany it all.

The Stag's Head, Dublin Reviews

  • This is one pig Dublin's great pubs. There is always a good crowd here but I always mange to get a seat as the crowds seem to come and go in waves. The decor is traditional and includes a stag's head. There are a good range of beers and wines. Staff are friendly and they have music and comedy on different nights. Centrally located.

  • First visit to the Stags Head for drinks. The staff were really friendly and the live music upstairs and free comedy club downstairs meant the place had a lot extra to offer than a the usual bar. Would definitely recommend a visit when in Dublin and hope for the chance of a return visit!

  • Food not served after 6, which is ridiculous for a pub in city centre. Look elsewhere for a good ambiance and meal past a reasonable time.

  • Walking through Temple Bar to find a good fish&chips, we entered in this pub quite randomly. Very satisfied of the food, all was good from the fish to the sauces. Good reception as well, and fast service. I recommand

  • Very busy restaurant but the food was very good and service can be slow because of how busy it was. Fun time was had.
