Lapad Beaches - Review

So this is where most of the tourists in Dubrovnik stay  - a nice residential neighbourhood with lots of pleasant walk, cafe’s bars, restaurants and all within walking distance of the beaches. The Old Town itself is only fifteen minutes away by bus. The main attraction here are the beaches though,  sandy affairs that are very popular with the tourists and locals. If you walk along the beach you’ll come upon headland with little concrete outcrops leading into the sea, perfect for sunbathing. A good number of bars (including coffee bars) with some excellent cocktail options line the beach. Uvala is the most popular beach, followed by the Adriatic (concrete; romantic); Vis I, a pebble beach with cocktail parties and kayaking; Splendid beach, which is quieter; Villa, a favourite with picigin players; and Vis II, a rocky beach with Jet Ski. Across the bay from these beaches is a lovely boardwalk perfect for romantic strolls.

Lapad Beaches, Dubrovnik Reviews

  • Good hotel in an even better location. It's close to not only the airport and to the Dubrovnik Cathedral, but also Beach Lapad. I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days and it was very peaceful. There were a lot of families with kids staying there so it was different than what i expected at a nice hotel but it was still alright. The only thing I dont understand is why the website link above goes to some beach website rather than the hotel site

  • Amazing cave bar! Perfect to cool down on a hot sunny day.

  • The Uber Taxi from airport to hotel cost us 215Kn. The reception is one floor lower and one has to wait for staff to come up to the taxi, to take the luggage down. Different lifts for swimming pool, breakfast, cave bar etc. Little confusing and one does get lost and have to retrace steps on more than 1 occasion. Barring this, the location, views, breakfast, proximity to the sea is top notch. Good pizza joint 900 metres away called Mamma Mia. Wouldn't mind staying again.

  • Cross-posting, as this is also listed as "Hotel & Restaurant More" - if you're curious for more reviews. Very good hotel, a short walk and bus ride from Old Town. I would give a 4.5 if I could, but rounding up because of the extremely pleasant staff. Everyone was very mindful of food allergies for the included breakfast, and the breakfast spread was well above average. I understand that lots of negative reviews for this hotel stem from construction, which must have finished well before we arrived, since you can tell there is a new "wing"/area in the hotel. They offer a couple of pools and communal hot tubs, as well as a couple of restaurant/bar areas. The cave bar at the bottom is especially intriguing, since you can also sit outside and step/dive directly into the sea. There is a promenade, which you can exit straight onto from the hotel, which you can walk through to get to the bus toward old town. Lots of cute little bars and restaurants here, and feels less touristy than Old Town.

  • This is a lovely hotel which has lived up to its great reputation. Dubrovnik old town is very beautiful but Hotel More is a sanctuary after the busy-ness and crowds. Great bars, especially the Cave bar, and two very good restaurants. A super sea-pool and a quieter family friendly one. Only four nights here but totally relaxed after being well cared for by the attentive staff. Loved it.
