Bring Bleach One hour late on check in. The manager was unwilling to come out and address the issue. The check in staff just shrugged their shoulders. The house was still not ready once key was given out. Maid's dragging brooms around sucking their teeth. Just nasty. The house itself needed to be deep cleaned. The showers looked like a truck stop. Grout was black. Floors were stained. Over crowded at the pool with trash floating in it. Trash cans over flowing around the pool. No cups available for the water dispensers. The kids club was run by inept staff. All this at $550+ per night. These issue fall under the responsibility of the general manager to run a resort that is clean and has trained and knowable staff. Hawks Cay is not that resort. Hawks Cay does not give you the Key's experience.
Peace and tranquility was all we wanted to celebrate our Anniversary, and we got just that. Each staff member we came across were polite and professional. The food was awesome, we only did room service which can become a little on the expensive side if you're doing it for each and every meal you eat. The room was clean and comfortable, they have multiple pools, in which the adult pool was my go to place, and they also have a man-made beach, in which I got in up to my knees and saw a big enough fish to make me second guess getting in, lol. But at the end of the day it was a very pleasant experience and we will bring the kids next time.
Nice resort. Rented a two bedroom townhouse. 4 pools with 1 for adults only. Nice splash pool area for kids. Was not impressed with food options at Hawks Cay or on Duck key. We cooked in the townhouse and drove to other keys to dine out mostly. Dolphin 🐬 experience was cool and kids loved it.
Resort is great for the kids. Check in was a little confusing, the young lady told me my room wasn't available, when it was. Service other than that has been friendly and efficient. Pool service was great!
Really nice place. Had a water-view lanai room and it was really nice being able to walk out to the pool every day. Beautiful clear water with thriving wildlife and a dolphin place in the resort! Giving it 4 stars because it is way too expensive for what they offer. Food is nothing special and you pay a lot of money ($15-65) per entree. Rooms are ok they are old but really nice bathrooms. Loved the property and the saltwater lagoons. As long as you don't eat on the property and bring your own alcohol it will be a great time.
