Natural Tunnel State Park Reviews & Ratings
5 stars aren't enough for this gem. Well kept and maintained sites, Beautiful surroundings, amazing history... Oh yea, and there's the Natural Tunnel too. Wow. What an amazing feature in this Earth. Thank you for making this a state park. You must check out the Block House and definitely take the Bolling Cave Tour; so far beyond my expectations for a cave in this area.
Seriously one of the wonders of the world. Ive been to Natural Tunnel a few times over the past 3 decades yet never ventured further than the main cave area and above canyon rim. Yesterday I hiked every trail offered in the park. All of the trails were well-kept and mostly easy to navigate, but always take a park map. There are black bears inside the park, I spotted one in the morning right at the base of the chairlift area crossing the railroad and creek. Highly recommend visiting NT. A full day of great outdoor fun.
Beautiful, exceptionally well maintained park. The tunnel itself is a natural treasure to behold. Nature's work at it's best. Campground is pristine, pool is large and sparkling, covered picnic area with clean restrooms nearby, visually stunning chairlift ride down to the tunnel (ride or hike back up)and an absolutely gorgeous visitor center.
The whole park in general is well kept and clean. We stayed at the campground and was very impressed. Everything was well kept and groomed. The facilities were all clean. The campsite we had was private and relaxing. It was the annual tunnel day where they allowed you to enter the tunnel which was an awesome experience. There were rangers everywhere helping people and operating activity booths. Oh yeah, the tunnel itself is pretty awesome too!
This place is awesome. A good little hike, unless you want to ride the chair lift to the bottom. I personally would like to be able to walk through the tunnel but so worth it.
