The cabins are small but they are located in between the trees. There is a nice bathhouse here where you can enjoy with your loved ones. The entire area is surrounded by large trees thus giving you the best reason to stay here. You can enjoy hiking in the beautifully maintained trail. Beautiful place in Virginia. The camping area was great and made the trip we had much better. There are hikes for every kind of people. Some of them are meant to be for experienced people, however, most of them will fit almost everyone. The mountains and plants found in this place make of this park a Paradise in the heart of Virginia.
You guys and gals - if you're in the area, please put Natural Tunnel on your bucket list - it's beautiful. Walking / hiking trails, cabins, watch the train go through the tunnel and they have a pool and a amphitheater with live music. There is a war reenactment on top of the hill - a little history lesson for the kiddo's. You feel so small in this vast open area. The doctorate for Christmas, we're going to try to go this year.
Very nice campground! We were visiting our son and his wife, they we're camping. Can't wait until spring to camp there!
Beautiful state park! The tunnel is amazing. The trails to the upper observation areas are definitely worth the hike. Bath houses were clean. Campsites are nice and level. We will definitely be back.
We camper camp there, we attend the Christmas tunnel lighting, we stay at their cabins. I could never say enough nice things about this place or the people that work there!
