One of the oldest surviving structures in Dumaguete, Belfry was initially built to warn the residents about the upcoming pirate attacks in the 1880s. The tower is built of white and grey stones making at a beautiful landmark full of history. The Belfry is located near some of the major attractions of the city and provides picturesque views making it a popular tourist spot. The adjacent stores and stand selling handmade religious art and crafts are also worth visiting.
