The three thousand acres of park is paradise for deer species. There are seven species at the park right now including Japanese Sika deer and Red deer. Most of the times, the owner of the park will drive you through the area himself. He will give you a good insight into the park and how it was developed. Park is dominated by red pinewood and beautiful coastal views. Even if you cannot spot many deer species, the experience will enrich you. Make sure to call the establishment before planning your trip for the availability of the time slot.

Bainloch Deer Park Reviews & Ratings
Went on a tour today and to be honest the deer spotting was secondary to the wonderful company of our guide - what an amazingly knowledgeable man with a vast amount of life experience! It made it such an interesting hour and a half. We felt genuinely privileged to have talked to him and listen to his incredible life experiences. A great man with a genuine love for his deer. A lovely experience all round. The deer were BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for a great time!
Fantastic tour round the deer park. Saw lots a tree came down so we could do full tour but we saw plenty different deers that kept us happy. The guide was fantastic too very knowledgeable! Would recommend to anyone!
Thanks Derek one of the best days of my life. I admire what you are doing for the animals and ecology. I would hope to e ale to do the same some day. I look forward to coming again maybe, in a few years, to see your dreams for the changes come to fruition. I forgot to ask how many different species you actually have on the estate but it was brilliant to spend the time there and hear your ideas.
Just had an amazing tour of this deer park dereck was both passionate and knowledgeable about both the land and the deer stags and calfs I would recommend anyone who is ever in the area to see and experience it
An amazing afternoon. We stumbled across this place whilst visiting Dumfries, not many had heard of it so it really is a hidden gem. We spent the afternoon learning about the history of the timber plantation and the hundreds of deer that live there, we got some amazing photos. This was a highlight of our trip for me.
