  • Beautiful area. Came with a coach load of kids of all primary school ages and easily spent the day here. Excellent well kept park, plenty of picnic tables, the Giants Lair walk is fab, easy enough walk with lovely scenery. At weekends anyway there is an ice cream van and chippy van but there is also a coffee shop with lovely outside area too. Place was really tidy as there seemed to be a guy in high viz doing a great job keeping the place clean and keeping smokers out of the play areas. Looks like a new building was under construction too, maybe toilets closer to the park? Would Def go back.

  • A Saturday spent here with my grandson, was fantastic fun. We spent some time in the park before going around the giants lair. He loved the little doors on the trees, and visiting the fairies. It's a bit of a walk for small children, but plenty to see and do, breaks the journey up. Parking is free, and toilets are on site, and clean. Burger van and ice-cream available beside the park. There's a walled garden which is well maintained. A restaurant is situated in the buildings alongside the wall, a shop and information office. Staff were busy picking up litter and keeping the area tidy, which is a credit to them. A drive through the forest and mountains finishes the day-of . A great place for children of all ages. It's all free. Enjoy it , and don't upset the little people.

  • A fantastic family day out. My kid's love this place. The play park is fantastic and the kid's could play here for hours. The magical walk around here is amazing for the kid's with all the different area's to explore. The tree house in the forest is very good. Has a small cafe and the toilets are very good. Well worth the drive from Ballymena.

  • Great playground for kids and even exercise equipment for adults there. Parking can get hectic during peak times. Nice drive around the mountain. Apparently Slieve Gullion means steep slope or Cullan's mountain. This mountain is located in South Armagh and is the highest mountain located in the county. The mountain is 573 m or 1,880 ft high.

  • Fantastic trail for walking, with great distractions for young kids all along the way with the Fairy Trail. Nice playground too, clearly a large investment has been made in the facilities. There is a nice cafe in the grounds serving lovely food, perfect for a nice hot drink after your walk. If you are in the area you would be mad not to go along and enjoy the walks.
