Slieve Gullion Forest Park, Dungannon Reviews - Write a Review

  • What a great place to take the whole family to. Walk in wonderment at all the tiny fairy (handcrafted) houses dotted along the Giants trail all while you are surrounded by the massive magnificat Beech trees with incredible views out onto the Mourne Mtns. You can even see the coast on a clear day! There's just so many interactive sites from musical flutes and log xylofone to the tree houses maze up on stilts with tiny houses and an extensive playground of multiple age levelsand physical capabilities. All is catered for. This special place has fast become my all time favourite place to go, even if I have to drive 1.5 hrs. There's also catering in the tea house which closes at 4pm in winter. Toilets parking with accommodation for parties or weddings also available. Definitely recommend!☺️

  • Great place to visit and explore with the kids. They love the fairy houses and trail. Very good play area also. Decent coffee

  • Brilliant place, a lot of work and well thought money spent here. Downside are junk food vans in front of playground, why it isnt banned?!? Also some people are disaster, leaving cans of coke, garbage, some children breaking trees in front of parents - soon this place will be destroyed... Amazingly beautiful drive around mountain (one way scenic route going left from main parking, passing playground and adult outdoor gym at your left)

  • Fantastic trail for walking, with great distractions for young kids all along the way with the Fairy Trail. Nice playground too, clearly a large investment made in the facilities.

  • Great for kids , walk through the forest with the kids loving the fairy house's. The park excellent aswell
