Adventure junkies are likely to get a kick out of the Old Lime Creek Road. The trail extends for around 12 miles and is a rough route with cutting-edge turns and streams. If you are taking a car with you, it is best to have one with a good ground clearance thanks to the uneven road. To add to the toughness are the drop-offs along the edge of the gorge that need to be carefully manoeuvred to get across. The aspen trees lining this road are basked in a wonderful colour in fall, making this trail look alive and vibrant. Most of the visitors here end up camping along the various campsites near the creek. Family activities like fishing, hiking etc. can be carried out easily on this trail. This place is a haven for exotic birds and butterflies.

  • CAUTION !!!! The views along this road from US Hwy 550 (MM 62) are stunning but a single high clearance vehicle is absolutely required and 4 wheel drive is highly recommended. NO TOWED VEHICLES/TRAILERS. The road is extremely rough with large sharp rocks and only wide enough for a single vehicle. If you meet anyone coming the other way you've got a problem. Passing each other is only possible in a few places and it's 4.5 miles from US 550 to the campground. I normally like to stay 7-14 days anywhere I camp but chose to turn around at the first opportunity which was about halfway to the campground. My vehicle is a 28 foot skoolie, bumper to bumper. I have no doubt I could have made it to the campground (at a snail's pace) but with thunderstorms predicted almost daily for the next 10 days I was concerned about being able to get back to US 550. If you can make it to the campground, I'm sure it would be worth the effort. GOOD LUCK.

  • One of the nicest places i have ever been. We hiked most of the creek, then hikd up halfway to needles point. Our first night, we even had a VERY LARGE BEAR try to join us for dinner. Needless to say, camping in a tent, my wife and I slept with one eye open.

  • I do not recommend taking the road to get to the campground unless you're absolutely confident your car can handle it off-road. With that said, it is so worth the journey. Beautiful and quiet, with loads to explore 😊

  • Remote and Beautiful. But you need a high clearance vehicle

  • Looks cool just no kind of facilities. Definitely roughn it. But cool place
