Moses Mabhida Stadium - Review
The stadium, built specifically to host the FIFA World Cup, is fast becoming one of Durban’s more popular hangout spots. And why not? It’s funky, hip and modern. A favourite draw is the SkyCar, a capsule that’ll take you to the top of the Stadium’s northern arch to a platfor with a view. And what a view… the great expanse of the Indian Ocean on one side and the thriving spread of Durban on the other. It’s said to be the best view in the city. That’s not the only thing to do at the top though. Try leaping off the high arch soaring over the stadium for a rush of adrenalin. Back on the ground, shops are opening up everywhere. As for other events… the stadium also hosts cricket and concerts.

Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban Reviews
Did not experience much of this venue. Beautiful to look at however and much like all the stadiums I have visited on one occasion or the other. I am yet to experience a game there. As a finish venue for the Comrades, seeing it from the 5km to go mark was an inspiration. It peaked beautifully amongst the buildings in the setting sun and gave quite the assurance that victory is near. And indeed I marched into all it's beauty with a concurring heart.
This is one of the many great stadiums South Africa built for the FIFA World Cup 2010. There often still use the stadium for international sporting events. This is a popular tourist destination. There are restaurants around the area and in the stadium for everyday visitation. You can also be extreme and sky walk across the stadium lining in the middle or bungee jump from the middle of the stadium into the field. The beach is also nearby and walking distance. For a easy day in the sun, you can rent a bicycle from the beachfront and ride along the stadium. The only downside is that they never let you on the pitch. All in all, a must visit for anyone visiting Durban. You can relive the spirit of the World Cup or just experience a new location.
Flying past Durban to King Shaka one cannot miss seeing this beautiful stadium. Built for the soccer world cup in 2010, it has been transformed into a multi-purpose stadium with several restaurants at the bottom. It is easily accessible when one drives to the North of Durban (the casino, etc) and close by to the beachfront and various hotels. It has been transformed into a tourist attraction with several activities like the Sky Car, Segway glided tours, Big Rush (world's tallest swing off a stadium roof), etc.
So, obviously, I was here for the 2018 Comrades Marathon. I must say, it's a spectacular building which has been designed to truly capture the beauty of Durban and modern day architecture (of which I'm no expert, I'm just saying the stadium is aesthetically exquisite in my eyes)! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I found it somewhat difficult to navigate my way around the building as did quite a number of people actually. However, once you're able to figure your way around the place there's really not much more left to criticize...except maybe parking space lol.
Durbans stadium. Amazing should sum it up in one word. Good place to take the kids for a day out and also many places to eat at. And the is many other thing to do at the stadium. And there is a virgin active classic at the stadium. One of virgin actives better gyms.
